RV / HRV Roller Screws
Standard and high-load planetary roller screws for high-thrust, high-duty linear motion across the widest range of applications.
Overview
The RV and HRV families are our core planetary roller screws. Threaded rollers arranged around the screw shaft share the axial load across many line contacts, giving high load capacity, stiffness and service life in a compact envelope. HRV variants are optimised for the heaviest loads and continuous duty.
Features
High load capacity
Load distributed across many rollers for thrust well beyond a comparable ball screw.
Long service life
Lower contact stress means longer fatigue life under high duty cycles.
Wide size range
Diameters and leads to suit compact actuators through to heavy presses.
High stiffness
Dense contact geometry resists deflection under load.
Benefits
- Replace hydraulics with clean, controllable electromechanical thrust.
- Reduce maintenance through longer, more predictable service life.
- Hold precision under load in demanding positioning tasks.
- Withstand shock and vibration without brinelling.
Applications
- Electric linear actuators and cylinders
- Servo presses and forming
- Aerospace and defence actuation
- Robotics and automation
- Machine-tool feed axes
